myHSA opens up Dialogue for small groups
myHSA's new partnership with Dialogue brings virtual healthcare to small groups through the advisor channel — a model that's strategically aligned and mutually beneficial.
myHSA is a modern health spending account platform built for Canadian advisors and employers who want simplicity without compromise. Our fully digital solution makes it easy to design compliant benefits, manage costs, and give employees meaningful choice.
At myHSA, we believe employee benefits should feel clear, flexible, and fair. Since 2013, we’ve focused on building a digital platform that helps advisors, employers, and employees spend less time navigating rules and more time getting real value from their benefits.

We build with advisors in mind. Our platform gives advisors the tools to design flexible plans, manage clients efficiently, and confidently deliver benefit strategies to businesses across Canada.

Benefits should reflect how people live. myHSA puts employees in control with clear balances, simple claims, and support for health and wellness choices that matter to them.

No two teams are the same. Our health spending account solutions adapt to different industries, company sizes, and life stages without locking employers into rigid, one-size-fits-all plans.

Clear rules, predictable costs, and compliance come standard. With CRA-aligned plan administration and SOC 2 Type 2 security certification, myHSA is built to protect your people and data.
myHSA was created to simplify the health spending account for Canadian businesses. What began as a digital alternative to a paper-based benefits industry has grown into a trusted platform supporting health, wellness, and flexible benefits across Canada. Every step of that evolution has been guided by advisors, employers, and the real-world needs of employees.

Tim Kane had a conviction he couldn't shake: advisors needed a better way to bring health spending accounts to their clients, and the tools to do it simply didn't exist. So, he sold his brokerage and partnered with Steve McEwan to build something new.
Together, they founded myHSA, Canada's first cloud-based HSA platform. In an industry built on paper forms and manual administration, the vision was straightforward: make spending accounts personal, flexible, and completely digital. myHSA put the power of self- insurance into the hands of every advisor, employer, and employee across the country.

Three years in, myHSA launched what would become its flagship offering: myFlexplan. By combining a health spending account with a wellness spending account into a single, unified plan, myFlexplan gave employees true flexibility over how their benefit dollars were used, from dental visits, to gym memberships, to mental health support.
The launch sparked significant growth and redefined what a modern benefits plan could look like for Canadian small and mid-sized businesses. Years later, myFlexplan remains the most popular product in the myHSA suite.

As the platform scaled, it was time to match that growth with dedicated technical leadership. Mark Young joined as Chief Technology Officer, bringing the engineering depth and product vision to carry myHSA's technology into its next era. His arrival marked a natural evolution: the right person, at the right moment, to build on what Tim and Steve had started.

By 2022, myHSA had crossed a landmark threshold: 100,000 employees actively using the platform, a number that has since more than doubled.
Distributed through a growing network of advisors and employers across every sector of the Canadian economy, the platform had become a trusted staple of the employee benefits landscape from coast to coast.
While our user base was growing, our team was too. We moved out of our first office and into a new space.

In 2023, myHSA marked a decade in business. Ten years of turning a scrappy idea into an industry-defining platform.
"After a decade, we take pride in having built an exceptional team, a strong brand, and a lasting legacy in the employee benefits industry. Our commitment to making spending accounts a significant part of the conversation, rather than an afterthought, has been unwavering."
— Tim Kane, Co-Founder, myHSA

With over 250,000 employees and 7,000 advisors now on the myHSA platform, Tim Kane and Steve McEwan made a deliberate decision: to step into Co-Founder roles and hand leadership to a team built for what comes next. The company had proven itself, and it was time to match its scale with the leadership to take it further.
Danielle Constantine stepped into the CEO role and Beth Shackman became COO, bringing new energy and operational depth to guide myHSA through its next phase of growth.
The transition is a mark of what Tim and Steve built: an organization strong enough to thrive beyond its founders, with the culture, product, and people to carry the mission forward.
myHSA is built by specialists across benefits, compliance, product, and client support. Together, we create a health spending account that feels straightforward for employers, clear for employees, and practical for advisors managing clients.

myHSA Canada is built to make a health spending account easier to run and easier to use. We focus on clear plan design, predictable costs, and a fully digital experience that supports real employee needs. With SOC 2 Type II security and CRA-aligned administration, organizations get flexibility without losing control.

We are in the business of adapting benefits to people, not the other way around.
